It could also be caused by the presence of debris or obstructions within the cavity preventing the anchor from expanding properly. Additionally, the material of the cavity walls may not be suitable for the anchor to grip onto effectively. **

The hollow wall anchor may not be gripping because it is not properly sized for the thickness of the wall. If the anchor is too small or too large for the wall, it will not be able to expand properly and create a secure hold. Additionally, the anchor may not be inserted at the correct angle or depth, preventing it from gripping the wall securely. Finally, the wall material may be too soft or brittle, causing the anchor to pull out easily. **
